Basilica. Louis King and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary - the Church of the Franciscan monastery in K atowice Panewniki, holding the title of Basilica Minor. The corne rstone was laid in 1906. Neo-Romanic church and the monastery was founded in 1907, according to the design of the Franciscan Manswetusa Fromm Karłowice (out of a settlement in the northern part of Wrocław). Then umieszono figure on top of the dome of St. Francis of Assisi, founder of the Order. The solemn consecration took place on July 19, 1908, Cardinal George has made it Kopp, Metropolitan of Wroclaw [1].
